Reporter Terms & Conditions

AWAZ PLUS Digital Platform

Effective Date: July 01, 2026

These Reporter Terms & Conditions govern the appointment, responsibilities, and conduct of all Reporters, Correspondents, Bureau Chiefs, Stringers, Freelance Journalists, Photojournalists, and Video Journalists associated with AWAZ PLUS Digital Platform.

By accepting an appointment or submitting news content to AWAZ PLUS, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.

1. Nature of Appointment

Unless otherwise stated in writing, all appointments are voluntary, freelance, contractual, or assignment-based and do not create an employer-employee relationship.

Appointment as a reporter does not guarantee a salary, permanent employment, or government recognition.

2. Eligibility

Every reporter must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.

  • Provide valid identity proof.

  • Submit recent passport-size photographs.

  • Provide accurate contact details.

  • Maintain good professional conduct.

3. Duties of a Reporter

A reporter shall:

  • Collect factual and verified news.

  • Maintain journalistic ethics.

  • Verify information before publication.

  • Respect privacy and dignity.

  • Cover assigned news and events.

  • Submit reports on time.

  • Cooperate with editors during verification.

4. Prohibited Activities

Reporters shall not:

  • Publish fake or misleading news.

  • Demand or accept money in the name of AWAZ PLUS without written authorization.

  • Use fake press cards or unauthorized identity.

  • Engage in blackmail, extortion, threats, or illegal activities.

  • Misrepresent themselves as government officials.

  • Use the AWAZ PLUS name or logo for personal business without permission.

  • Share confidential editorial information.

Any violation may result in immediate termination and legal action.

5. Editorial Control

All submitted news, photographs, videos, and reports remain subject to editorial review.

AWAZ PLUS reserves the right to:

  • Edit content.

  • Reject submissions.

  • Publish partially or fully.

  • Delay publication.

  • Remove published content where necessary.

Editorial decisions shall be final.

6. Accuracy and Verification

Reporters are responsible for ensuring that all submitted information is:

  • Accurate

  • Fair

  • Balanced

  • Supported by reliable sources

False, fabricated, plagiarized, or AI-generated misinformation is strictly prohibited.

7. Press Identity Card

The AWAZ PLUS Press ID Card:

  • Remains the property of AWAZ PLUS.

  • Must be returned upon resignation or termination.

  • Shall not be copied, altered, or transferred.

  • May be cancelled at any time.

Loss of the ID card must be reported immediately.

8. Photography and Video

Reporters may capture photographs and videos only in compliance with applicable laws.

Unauthorized recording in restricted or prohibited areas is not permitted.

9. Payments and Expenses

Unless agreed otherwise in writing:

  • Reporters shall bear their own travel and operational expenses.

  • Payments, commissions, honorariums, or incentives shall be governed by separate written agreements or official policies.

10. Intellectual Property

All news reports, articles, photographs, videos, graphics, interviews, and multimedia content submitted for publication become licensed to AWAZ PLUS for publication, editing, distribution, and archival purposes, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

11. Confidentiality

Reporters must keep confidential:

  • Editorial discussions

  • Sources (where legally protected)

  • Internal communications

  • Business information

  • Login credentials

Confidential information shall not be disclosed without written authorization.

12. Code of Ethics

Every reporter shall:

  • Act honestly and independently.

  • Avoid conflicts of interest.

  • Respect all communities and individuals.

  • Maintain political neutrality while reporting.

  • Avoid discrimination based on religion, caste, gender, language, or ethnicity.

  • Follow applicable media laws and journalistic standards.

13. Suspension or Termination

AWAZ PLUS may suspend or terminate any reporter without prior notice if the reporter:

  • Violates these Terms.

  • Publishes false information.

  • Misuses the organization's name or identity.

  • Engages in misconduct.

  • Damages the reputation of AWAZ PLUS.

  • Violates any applicable law.

14. Legal Compliance

Reporters must comply with:

  • All applicable laws of India.

  • Information Technology Act, 2000 (as amended).

  • Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

  • Copyright Act, 1957.

  • Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), where applicable.

  • Any other applicable media and communication laws.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of India.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.
